Editor: TimeTracker is a utility that allows you to keep tabs on the time spent on activities (or projects, or tasks; the terms are used interchangeably throughout this file), on the computer or otherwise.

It includes the ability to generate reports based on the data it collects. To learn how to use the different features, choose a topic from the list below.

TimeTracker's most basic feature is the ability to track time spent on different activites, or projects. To inform TimeTracker that you have begun to do a certain task, simply select the task from the list in the main window, and click the Check In button.

TimeTracker will then display the time at which the project was checked into, and will display a running timer of how much time has been spent on the task since check in. To stop the timer and store the time period, click the Check Out button. Note that exiting the program will also check you out of any checked into project.

TimeTracker provides the ability to attach notes to individual time periods. These notes can be added immediately upon check out (if the option is selected to display the Notes window on check out; see here for information on various options.)
