Version 2.1 brings you more power and flexibility to develop rich client web applications with new unique features such as self-validation and optional postback.
Different WebCB styles can either be set in MS Visual Studio HTML designer or through code-behind page by using style related WebCB properties or through data-binding. In general, most style related properties available for standard TextBox and DropDownList Web Controls are applicable to WebCB control as well.
Different data types can be used to set the data in DropDownList of WebCB in design mode or at run-time. This includes data types such as DataView, Array, ArrayList, Hashtable, NameValueCollection, ListItemCollection, DataSet and any type that implements the IEnumerable interface. All of them can be set as a source for WebCB DropDownList items through the WebCB 'DataSource' property.
Data loaded to WebCB can be formatted by using the same properties that are applicable to a standard DropDownList control
WebCB supports the same events that are available for any standard Web Control: SelectedItemChanged, DataBinding, Load, PreRender and etc. However, WebCB 'SelectedItemChanged' event is only applicable to the DropDownList of WebCB.
WebCB control has a set of JavaScript functions that allow Web Developers to work with it on the client-side.
