The Virtual Training Studio (VTS) is a freely available drag-and-drop tool to create low-bandwidth interactive learning materials compatible with both web and local viewing. It has been developed by Gabriel Westman and Erik Bergman as a part of the Global NutrITion programme in Uppsala, Sweden, and has been funded by Sida.

By setting a new and freely available standard for creating computerised interactive teaching material, VTS also allows the interface to be platform- and storage-media independent. This means that teaching material can be viewed both directly over the Internet as well as from CDs, hard drives and local area networks.

We are happy to inform you that version 1.12 now is available for download. More information is available at the download page. Please continue to send error reports and other types of feedback, helping us continue to improve the software.

What is cooking?
First of all, there are some interesting applications of VTS that we follow closely. VTS has been chosen as the technical platform to develop interactive educational materials on the topic of HIV/AIDS, both in southern Africa and in Sri Lanka.
