UnifyCamino 1.9 Description

EditBy: UnifyCamino is a plugin for the Camino web browser. It changes the colour of the bookmarks toolbar so that it matches the 'unified' toolbar look on Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5. It also applies a streamlined look to the tabs and status bar, and can apply any other custom theme to the whole Camino interface.

Installation

Mount the disk image and double-click 'Install UnifyCamino'.

The next time you run Camino, it will have the unified look!

If you find that the UnifyCamino preference pane doesn't appear after installation, run 'Fix PrefPane' in the 'Extras' directory.
Bug reporting

UnifyCamino is not supported by the Camino developers. Please do not report Camino bugs in Bugzilla or submit Talkback reports if you have UnifyCamino installed. Instead, uninstall UnifyCamino (and any other plugins), and try to reproduce your bug. If you can reproduce it, report it to the Camino developers. If you can't, report it to me.
Optional customization

UnifyCamino Preference Pane

UnifyCamino includes a Preference Pane for Camino (select 'Preferences' from the Camino menu). It allows you to disable toolbar unification, to change the toolbar shade on the fly, and to remove the dividing line Between the main toolbar and the bookmarks bar.
Themes

The Preference Pane also allows you to install a custom theme for Camino. You can use the 'streamlined' tabs and status bar that are included with UnifyCamino by Just Checking the appropriate box. Alternatively, if you have downloaded other custom themes, check the 'Custom theme' box, and select the directory containing the custom theme. If you have CaminIcon installed, UnifyCamino will present the CaminIcon directory so you can select a theme from there.

Similar theming abilities are offered by CaminIcon. CaminIcon provides a much better interface, but UnifyCamino has two advantages. First, you can customize the status bar. Second, your theme will be remembered when you install new versions of Camino. you can free download UnifyCamino 1.9 now.
