It is a widget that runs under the Yahoo! Widget Engine (YWE) that enables you to watch a portfolio of financial symbols by fetching quotes and news on a user configurable update interval.
How is it different from other market monitoring software?
It is different in that it will speak quotes and news as new data is found. The items that get spoken are user configurable per symbol, so if you only want to hear when the price of YHOO changes, you can!
What is required to use it?
You'll need an internet connection which I'm guessing you have since you're reading this. Next you'll need to download and install the Yahoo! Widget Engine (YWE). Then you'll need to download the Spoken Quotes widget via any of the download links on this site. Finally, load it via the widget engine menu
