BS Editor: This is a very simple application that displays the CPU Speed and utilization, updated in real time, in the system tray. I wrote it so that I could see how my mobile Athlon XP throttles its clock speed in response to the load (AMD's "PowerNow!" technology), but it should run on just about any Modern processor from the Pentium era on, mobile or not. (It's just not as interesting on desktop CPUs.)

This program shows two numbers in its tray icon. The top number is the CPU speed in MHz, and the bottom is the CPU utilization in percent. Below the utilization number, there is a bar graph indicating the same.

You can get a bar graph for the CPU speed number as well if you specify max_mhz in the config file (see below). you can free download Speed3 1.0 now.
