Edit by : ScapeMaker is an easy to handle but powerful landscape generator. Using a user-friendly interface, realistic height Profiles with varying textures can be created by setting only a few parameters. On this landscape objects contained within ScapeMaker (e.g. trees and grass) can be allocated. Furthermore special effects like realistic height-depending fog, daytimes, Clouds and sea are configurable. This generated landscape can be shown in a powerful 3d-engine in real-time afterwards, where screen shots can be made.
As the target-group we see all computer users interested in graphics, which on the one hand are professionals, who want to create raw materials for their own projects (websites, games, applications) and on the other hand normal users, who want to generate their own landscapes according to own wishes and then take screen shots, to use for example as background images for their desktops.

Topology-Generator
ScapeMaker consists an extensive Topology-Generator. It generates so called heightmaps, which can also be used for other applications.
The Topology-Generator simulates different types of ground and erosion caused by water. By specifically adjusting the simulation parameters all kinds of landscapes can be generated.
Sea und River-Generator
Every good landscape needs water. By setting the sea level lower region are under water. Rivers can be created by placing sources. The run of the rivers are calculated automaticle, lakes and waterfalls are created.
The appearance of water is customizable, e.g color, transparence and reflection.
Texture-Generator
The Texture-Generator creates surface-textures that match the topology. This way you can simulate e.g. grass, rock or snow.
The surface-texture is generated out of free choosable small textures. For these it's settable, by which topology configuration (gradient and height) they should appear. The generated texture can be exported and used in other applications.
