It teaches you both the correct fingering for each note and to read music through drills (timed or otherwise), and it can function as a notation/fingering reference. It may be configured for either an alto/treble or a soprano/descant recorder. As the first test subject, I can say that it really does work, and you certainly can't beat the price!

You select how each accidental is represented. For example, you may want it to show you G# and not Ab. You can also configure it to use both.
Editable fingering. Occasionally a note is more accurately played on your recorder using an alternate fingering - this allows you to define the fingering for any of the notes.
