Well what project were you working on? How about last month? Last May? How many hours did you work on project A? How about how many hours you spent in meetings for project B?

How fast can you find the answers to any of these questions? I'm betting not that fast. One invoice came about because we were originally exclusively a contracting Company. Our clients wanted to know how may hours we spent working on their project and we had no way to find out. We saw a need.

FOR THE CONTRACTOR OR EMPLOYEE:
One invoice was designed to allow you to create a list of projects (active and complete) and a list of clients/departments. Then each day just before you leave spend 5 minutes writing a little description of what you did. It is a very quick process. Select the client, the project and the type of work you were doing. Fill in how many hours you worked and then fill in your goal and the steps you took.
Save and you're done.

Next month your boss asks you for information on how many hours you worked doing research. (There's some tax thing coming up next week.) She gives you and your co-workers until tomorrow to get it to her. You ask how far back she wants you to go, and then you create a report. It calculates the hours and the wages paid. You email her the DOC file it generates and take the rest of the Day Off. :)
FOR THE EMPLOYER:
