EditByBSEditor: MessagePad is an application that is used to display a scrolling list of messages. Messages can be sent to MessagePad from the local computer, or more usefully, from a remote computer. These messages are sent from the command line using our SendMsg utility (free with MessagePad), or directly from LogWatcher and AutoPilot. Messages can contain color information that determines how they will be displayed. It is a useful alternative to having message boxes constantly interrupting your work.

MessagePad also allows you to configure alerts, which are triggered when MessagePad detects certain text strings in the incoming message. These alerts can be as simple as displaying a message or beeping, or they can be lengthy tasks that use any of the available actions. These actions are the same as those in AutoPilot and LogWatcher, which means that you can copy and paste your tasks from one to the other.
