When you need to issue merits to a student, select that student's name in the program and tell the computer why he's getting the merits. The program prints slips that look more like merit vouchers than merit money, with a list of each thing for which the student earned merits that day and a total at the bottom. The program keeps a running total of all merits for the entire year, which makes counting merits before ther merit store really easy.
