ClipBird's features enable users to:

* Create sighting checklists using over thirty built-in checklists
* Create custom checklists using any built-in Checklist as a starting point (template) or by starting with a blank list of species
* Select species using MouseClicks or keyboard
* Save checklists to their own computer for emailing to other users, or for future updates
* Enter Brief comments for each species selected that will be included when the list is inserted into email, spreadsheet, etc.
* Paste checklists that automatically include a species count
* Copy and paste checklists in "Spreadsheet Mode"; when pasted, the species names and comments will be posted to separate columns in most spreadsheet applications
* A selected species can be made "bold-faced" by pressing a modifier key (Option on OS X, Alt on Windows) during selection -- when the list is later pasted into a document, those species will be listed in all caps.
* View species in either taxonomic or alphabetical order
