BlunderDelay spares you waiting on the send progress dialog.
BlunderDelay makes the Send Later command more useful by automatically executing the Send Unsent Messages command at regular intervals. If, in the minutes before BlunderDelay executes, you regain some sanity and realize you shouldn't have said something, you will still be able to edit or delete the message from your Unsent Messages folder before it gets you fired or divorced.
By using Send Later instead of Send Now, messages are Queued instantly without you having to wait for the send progress dialog to connect and disconnect from the outgoing Mail Server before you return to your task. BlunderDelay sends messages later in the background while you continue uninterrupted working on other things.
The Thunderbird builtin Send Later command only moves outgoing mail to the Send Later folder, where, without BlunderDelay, it remains forever until you manually flush the queue (with File -> Send Unsent Messages).
If you are looking for an addon that allows you to schedule delivery for a specific time, BlunderDelay can not do this. You may find SL8TR to be what you are looking for. Preliminary tests are showing SL8TR to be compatible with BlunderDelay i.e. with both installed, you can choose to deliver at a specific time, or if you don't, it will be delivered with the next Batch sent by BlunderDelay.
