Significant dates in the lives of My Friends and family do not. Applying geek skill to social ineptitude I wrote a program to constantly remind me of those important dates--and now I'm usually the first to know about a significant date in the life of an acquaintance. This software, at the request of my friends, has become the freeware Birthday Bar for Macintosh.

Birthday Bar is designed to be a persistent but out-of-the-way reminder of upcoming Birthdays, Anniversaries and yearly special events. It grabs date information from your Address Book and displays the upcoming event in a bar at the top or bottom of your screen. A pop up menu provides quick access to help you with common activities associated with the event.
